Is all silk the same?
No, we use a unique type of Mulberry silk which is more smoother and durable, with a density of 22 momme which is the ideal standard for hair and skin care.
Do I have to tie my hair up when using a silk pillowcase or hair wrap?
No, when using a silk hair wrap there is no need to tie your hair up. When using a pillowcase you can tie your hair into a loose pony or bun using one of our 100% silk scrunchies to prevent snagging.
Is silk good for my hair extensions/hair replacement.
Yes sleeping on silk is the best choice for anyone wearing a hair replacement method, silk does not absorb any moisture so your hair stays hydrated and tangle free.
Which is the best choice a pillowcase or hair wrap?
A pillowcase is great for the skin, reducing puffiness and fine lines that occur when sleeping on cotton or polyester it also keeps skin hydrated and prevents the material from absorbing your natural moisture or creams applied.
And whilst a pillowcase does keep hair slightly smooth a 100% silk hair wrap will deliver the best in hair care making sure your hair is encased in a silk envelope, allowing the moisture and natural oils to condition your hair leaving it feeling salon fresh for days.
When will I start to notice a difference in my hair and skin?
You should notice a difference after the first night sleep, you will notice your skin may be a little more hydrated and not so many sleep lines, and your hair should be a lot less frizzy and more soft.
Is silk good for eczema?
Due to silk not being an absorbent material it contains amino acids which allows the body to re-absorb any moisture or natural oils, where as cotton will absorb the body moisture and leave skin dry, silk also has a cooling effect and is softer on skin.
Silk and allergies?
Silk does not trap dust mites or pet dander, making silk a great option for asthmatic or allergy sensitive people if cared for correctly.
How should I wash my silk pillowcase or hair wrap?
You should only wash in luke warm water, add a gentle fabric cleanser to the water in a tub or sink. Submerge the silk in the water and swish around, leave for up to 30 mins. Drain sink and rinse silk to ensure all cleanser is removed. Carefully blot or squeeze excess water out. lay silk on flat surface in its natural shape or hang to dry.
